Trial attorney Abraham Jaros, of Jaroslawicz & Jaros PLLC, won $2 Million for his client, Mark Schaffer, 35, whose 27-year-old wife, Ena, died in 1980 of a cerebral hemorrhage she suffered during childbirth at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. Jaros filed the lawsuit for Schaffer against the obstetrician who performed the delivery. The suit accused the doctor of failing to recognize that Ena had a blood-clotting disorder that further complicated a delivery process already compromised by severe pre-eclampsia.
